Longitudinal Measurements

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 12 other vehicles, including the 2005 Audi allroad, 2004 Audi allroad, 2004 Audi A6, 2003 Audi allroad, and 2003 Audi S6. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

Check measurement between rear subframe and bolt on body. See Fig 1 . Ensure measurement is 19.8" +/- .079" (504 +/- 2 mm). If measurements are not as specified, loosen subframe bolts. Using pry bar, press subframe right or left until measurements are as specified. When measurements are as specified, tighten subframe bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  . Test drive vehicle. After test drive, recheck subframe position, if steering wheel is off center wheel alignment will be necessary. See PROCEDURES & SPECIFICATIONS article in WHEEL ALIGNMENT.
