Lower B-pillar trim, removing and installing

The following list pertains to Fig 1.

1. 1-B-pillar trim 

   Removing

   NOTE: The outer seat-belt attachment point does not have to be removed when taking out the lower B-pillar trim.
   • Remove upper B-pillar trim. See UPPER B-PILLAR TRIM, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
   • Remove sill panel trim. See SILL PANEL TRIM, REMOVING .
   • Use screwdriver to press retainer tabs -4- (2x) outward.
   • Pull up B-pillar trim in direction of arrow until it disengages at belt guide -2-.
   • Disconnect connectors for pushbutton switches for trunk lid and interior monitoring.

     Installing 

   • Insert belt guide -2- from top into retainer -7-.
   • Insert guide pins -3- and retainer tabs -4- into mounts -5- and -6-.
   • After installing make sure seal is correctly seated

8. Push-button switch for trunk lid 
   • Press retainer tabs and push out switch from behind.
   • Install in position shown.
9. Push-button switch for interior monitoring 
   • Press retainer tabs and push out switch from behind.
   • Install in position shown.
