Cargo area floor trim and supports (Avant), removing and installing

The following list pertains to Fig 1.

1. Cargo area floor covering (front) 
   • Remove screws -2- (4x) for fastening rings -3-.
2. Screws (2x) 
   • Tightening torque: 4.5 Nm (40 in lb)
3. Fastening rings 
4. Support for cargo area floor covering (front wheel drive models) 
   • Remove front floor covering -1-.
   • Pull out rear floor covering -7- toward the rear.
   • Remove cargo area side trim on one side. See CARGO AREA SIDE TRIM .
   • Remove support -4- for floor covering.
5. Support for cargo area floor covering (quattro models) 
   • Pull out rear floor covering -7- toward the rear.
   • Detach the two side floor coverings -8- and -6- (left and right).

     Supports -5- for floor covering are secured with butyl cord.

   • Remove supports -5- for floor covering.
6. Cargo area floor covering (side) 
   • Secured with adhesive tape
7. Cargo area floor covering (rear) 
   • Pull out toward the rear.
8. Cargo area floor covering (side) 
   • Secured with adhesive tape
