Sender for fuel gauge -G-, checking: Notes

• Using multimeter US1119 (Fluke 83 or equivalent), check resistance at sender for fuel gauge.
• To check actual values, measure between terminals 2 and 3.

Specified values:

• Tank empty: approximately 70 ohm
• Tank full: approximately 270 ohm

If specifications are not obtained:

• Check wiring per wiring diagram.
• If wiring is faulty, repair wiring.

If wiring is OK:

• Remove sender from tank.
• Test sender.

If specifications are still not obtained:

• Replace sender.
