NOTE: Before manually adjusting gas discharge headlights use the VAG 1551 scan tool to check DTC memory, erase DTC memory, and run basic settings. See AUTOMATIC VERTICAL HEADLIGHT AIM CONTROL SYSTEM (UP TO M.Y. 1999), ON BOARD DIAGNOSTIC (OBD) .

Adjustment screws for left headlight

Height adjustment screw
Lateral and height adjustment screw
- For height adjustment, turn adjustment screws -1- and -2- with same number of turns until headlight beam is OK.
