Checking fuel supply and tank ventilation systems for leaks: Notes

Check whether fuel filler cap was completely closed for test.
Check whether seal of fuel filler cap was damaged or crimped. Replace if necessary.
Disconnect and seal connection hose of Leak detection pump (LDP) -V144- at EVAP canister. See item 11.
Repeat function test.

If malfunction persists:

Remove EVAP canister cover at bottom of spare wheel well.
Remove sealing pieces above ventilation lines.
Check connection pipes and hoses between Leak detection pump (LDP) -V144- and EVAP canister for proper seal. See EVAP CANISTER/LEAK DETECTION SYSTEM - COMPONENT OVERVIEW .
Repeat function test.
