Wheel Bearing Housing: Removal
- Remove wheel cover. Loosen drive axle bolt by 90° only. Raise and support vehicle. Remove wheel. Remove ABS sensor and cable.
- Remove brake caliper. Using mechanics wire, hang brake caliper from car without disconnecting brake hose. DO NOT allow brake caliper to hang by brake hose. Remove brake rotor. Remove splash shield.
- Remove coil spring. See COIL SPRING

- For plugged in ABS wheel-speed sensor: pull out ABS wheel speed sensor (6). See Fig 1
. For bolted ABS wheel-speed sensor: remove ABS wheel speed sensor. Remove hex nut (1) and remove eccentric bolt. Remove hex nut (2) and pull out tie rod.

- Remove nut (5), press connecting link out of wheel bearing housing. See Fig 1
. Remove trapezoidal link/wheel bearing housing (4) connection, remove bolt. Remove collar bolt (3). Remove wheel bearing housing.
