CAN-BUS WIRE DATA EXCHANGE
| Data exchange, Motronic => transmission | Data exchange, transmission => Motronic | ||
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Intake air mass (signal from MAP sensor) | 8 | Instantaneous drive mode |
| 2 | Engine speed (RPM) | 9 | Drive mode change |
| 3 | Engine coolant temperature | 10 | Transmission emergency mode |
| 4 | Intake air temperature | 11 | Torque converter on/off |
| 5 | Throttle position (TP) | 12 | Selector lever position |
| 6 | Vehicle speed sensor signal (from instrument cluster) | 13 | Requirement for torque reduction (specified torque) |
| 7 | Engine torque (actual torque) | 14 | Transmission overload protection |
NOTE:
- Item 13: the ignition angle is briefly retarded through this TCM signal, during a driving mode change, dependent on speed and engine RPM, in order to soften the shift.
- Item 14: if, during a driving malfunction or operating malfunction, a drive mode is engaged by hand with the vehicle parked and the engine at high RPM, the ECM will reduce engine torque instantaneously by shielding the injection signals.
