If "DTC Memory is not interrogated" is indicated on display:

NOTE:

If the ignition was switched on between the check of DTC memory and the attempt to erase DTC memory, DTC memory is not erased.
Adhere to the work sequence exactly (i.e. check DTC memory first).

Indicated on display. DTC memory is erased approx. 5 seconds later.

NOTE: Wait 1 minute before checking DTC memory again.

If the display shows:

The TCM -J217 was not given time for malfunction recognition.

Wait 1 minute before checking DTC memory again.
After checking and erasing DTC memory, conduct a road test and then check DTC memory again.

"No DTC recognized" must be indicated.
