Fuel supply components, removing and installing: Notes

WARNING: Always follow applicable safety precautions when working on the fuel system. See SAFETY PRECAUTIONS WHEN WORKING ON FUEL TANK  .

• Always replace gaskets, seals and clamps during reassembly.
• Hose connections are secured with screw- or clamp-type clamps.
• Connecting fuel pump remote control. See FUEL PUMP, CHECKING  .
• Relay position 10 is located on the right side of the front passenger footwell on the wheelhousing.
• When removing and installing the fuel level sensor, make sure that the wiring is not damaged.
• Pay attention to rules of cleanliness. See RULES OF CLEANLINESS  .
• Checking fuel pump relay:

  See FUEL PUMP RELAY, CHECKING .
