Fuel pump, checking: Checking

• Connect remote control. See FUEL PUMP, CHECKING  .
• Remove cover under luggage compartment trim at left rear.
• Disconnect fuel pump and level sensor harness connector.
• Press and hold remote control switch, and check for voltage between connector terminals 1 (green) and 4 (brown). See Fig 1 .

  Specified value: approx. battery voltage

If voltage is OK:

• Reconnect harness connector, actuate remote control, and make sure fuel pump runs.

If fuel pump does not run:

• Remove fuel pump (FUEL PUMP WITH INTEGRATED RESERVOIR, REMOVING AND INSTALLING  ) and check for continuity between harness connector, connector on housing, and fuel pump.

  Specified value: 0 ohm (continuity)

If there is no continuity:

• Repair or replace wiring.

If wiring is OK (and fuel pump does not run):

• Replace fuel pump.
