Heated steering wheel, servicing

WARNING:

Airbag system components must only be checked, removed, installed or repaired by qualified Service Department personnel.
Before starting to work on any part of the airbag system, disconnect the battery ground strap. Whenever reconnecting the battery, the passenger compartment must not be occupied.
Always refer to airbag system safety precautions. See appropriate Air Bag Restraint Systems article in Restraints.

Remove airbag unit and steering wheel. See STEERING COLUMN SWITCHES, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
Check wiring according to wiring diagram.

NOTE: Replace heated steering wheel if it is faulty.
Install steering wheel and airbag unit. See INSTALLING: .
