Strut Assembly: Removal
- Raise and support vehicle. Remove wheel.
- Unbolt strut assembly from axle beam. See Figure. Remove strut assembly from axle beam.
- Remove rear seat backrest side bolster cover or backrest for access to upper mounting. See REAR SEAT .
- Unbolt upper strut assembly mounting. See Fig 1. In addition to the bolted connection, the strut assembly is attached additionally to the body by catches. Turn suspension strut until retaining lugs are positioned above recesses. Pull suspension strut downward out of its mount. Remove strut assembly.
