Guide Bushing: Installation
Align guide bushing. See Fig 1. Using special tools, press in guide bushing. See Fig 2. To complete installation, reverse removal procedure. Use NEW guide bushing nuts and bolts. Tighten guide bushing nuts and bolts with vehicle on the ground. Tighten fasteners to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
CAUTION:
Vehicle must be standing on its wheels when tightening guide bushing to rear axle bolts. Otherwise bonded rubber bushings will be subjected to torsion resulting in shortened service life.
