Channel 01

  1. Turn ignition switch off. Disconnect fuel level sensor harness connector. Connect Gauge Tester (VAG 1301) to fuel level sensor. See Figure. Set tester dial at 470. Wait 4 minutes, then turn ignition switch to RUN position.
    NOTE: Fuel gauge reading is correct if needle points to right side of reserve zone. If fuel gauge reading is correct, the rest of this procedure does not have to be completed.
  2. Press 01 on scan tool and press "Q" to confirm input. CHANNEL-1- ADAPTATION 128 (-1 3-) will be displayed. Enter required adaptation value on scan tool using zero for first 2 numbers. Press "Q" key to confirm input. Press "Q" key again. Press right arrow key to complete fuel gauge adaptation.
NOTE: Service interval can only be entered in 1000 kilometer intervals, even if odometer and speedometer are calibrated in miles.
