Coolant Overheat Warning Symbol

  1. Disconnect 4-wire electronic thermoswitch harness connector, located on coolant pipe behind right cylinder head. Using a jumper wire, connect terminal "C" of electronic thermoswitch harness connector to ground. See Figure.
  2. Start engine. If warning symbol is displayed after about 30 seconds flashing, system is okay. If warning symbol is not displayed after about 30 seconds, check wiring. If wiring is okay, see MINI-CHECK SYSTEM or AUTO-CHECK SYSTEM under SYSTEM TESTING .
