Coolant Overheat Warning Symbol

  1. Disconnect 4-wire electronic thermoswitch harness connector, located on coolant pipe behind right cylinder head. Using a jumper wire, connect terminal "C" of electronic thermoswitch harness connector to ground. See Figure.
  2. Start engine. If warning symbol is displayed after about 30 seconds, system is okay. If warning symbol is not displayed after about 30 seconds, check wiring. If wiring is okay, replace instrument cluster circuit board.
