Bushing Installation

CAUTION: DO NOT use grease or soapy water as lubricant on bushings. Risk of damaging bushing.

Coat bushings with assembly lubricant G 294 421 A1. Never use grease or soapy water. Position bonded rubber bushings such that flat side faces front (soft side in direction of travel). Use a long straight piece of rectangular tubing or straightedge to align bushings (arrows). See Fig 1 . Tighten nut to press bushing into subframe. See Fig 2 .
