Turbocharger Coolant (TC) Thermal Switch And Turbocharger Coolant Pump, Checking

• Run engine until engine coolant temperature gauge indicates more than 100° C (212° F). Cover radiator if necessary.
• Stop engine.
• After approx. 5 minutes, electric turbocharger coolant pump and radiator coolant fan must switch on.

If electric turbocharger coolant pump and radiator coolant fan do not run:

• Disconnect wires to TC thermal switch and connect to each other.
• Electric turbocharger coolant pump and radiator coolant fan must run.

If turbocharger coolant pump and radiator coolant fan run:

• Replace TC thermal switch -F98-.

If turbocharger coolant pump and radiator coolant fan do not run:

• Eliminate malfunction using wiring diagram.
