Oil Pressure Gauge Test
- Disconnect oil pressure sending unit wiring harness connector, located on left side of cylinder block. Connect Gauge Tester (VW 1301) between connector terminal and ground. See Fig 1 . Turn ignition on.
- Set gauge tester dial to specified setting. See OIL PRESSURE GAUGE TEST SPECIFICATIONS table. If oil pressure indicated by gauge does not match oil pressure specified in table, check wiring. If wiring is okay, replace oil pressure gauge.
