Speed Sensor (80 & 90 W/ M/T)

  1. Remove instrument cluster. Remove 26 pin connector (Blue) from instrument cluster and install Test Harness (VW 1594/16). See Figure . Set Multimeter (US 1119) to ohm scale and connect leads between terminal No. 20 and No. 21. Turn ignition on. Roll vehicle back and forth approximately 4 feet. Ohms should vary zero to infinity. If not, check wiring for open. See chassis wiring diagram in appropriate in WIRING DIAGRAMS section.
