Hydraulic Servo
- Drive belt tension must be correct. Ensure that there are no leaks in servo system and engine is off. Remove warning light wiring and warning switch. Remove return line at servo. If hydraulic oil leaks continuously, servo is defective and must be replaced. Relieve system pressure.
- Using hollow banjo bolt and 2 copper washers, connect Pressure Gauge (VW 1441) to switch opening. Place thicker washer between banjo and servo and thinner washer between bolt head and banjo.
- Start engine and let idle until reading on pressure gauge is more than 2030 psi (140 bar). If specified pressure cannot be reached, check delivery of central hydraulic pump.
