Removal & Installation: Notes

1. Before pushing pistons back into bores of calipers, remove some brake fluid from master cylinder reservoir. If pads are to be reused, mark them for reassembly reference.
2. Always replace pads or shoes on both sides of vehicle to avoid uneven or rough braking action. If hydraulic components are rebuilt, always rebuild both units on an axle.
3. When replacing calipers, ensure both units on axle are of equal capacity. When machining rotors, always turn both sides at same time. Rubber coated silencer shims are available from manufacturer to eliminate brake noise.
