Drum Brakes

  1. Raise vehicle and support. Release parking brake lever. Loosen adjusting nut on cable adjusting rod. Firmly depress brake pedal once. Pull parking brake lever up to third notch on 5000S models or second notch on 4000CS and Coupe GT models.
  2. Tighten adjusting nut at cable adjusting rod until both wheels can barely be turned by hand. Release parking brake lever. Ensure that both wheels will rotate freely. Lightly coat equalizer with multipurpose grease.
