Equipment Hook-Up

  1. Use ABS tester to check anti-lock braking system, Tester is connected in series with ABS control unit and vehicle wiring harness. Tester simulates and duplicates ABS operating conditions.
  2. Before connecting tester, check operation of on/off switch and the indicator light on vehicle. To do so, start engine. When engine reaches idle speed, the indicator light must go out.
  3. If light does not go out, depress the anti-lock switch. If light still does not go out, check wire connection from alternator "D+" terminal to terminal No. 15 at ABS control unit.
  4. If indicator light operation is correct, turn ignition off. Connect tester to vehicle. See Fig 1 . DO NOT drive vehicle with ABS system tester connected.
