Test Equipment

The following test equipment is required to diagnose and test system. DO NOT attempt to test this system without proper equipment. See Figure .

Pressure Gauge Set (VW 1310). Used to check hydraulic modulator pressures.
ABS Tester (Bosch). The tester has program selector switches, indicator lights, and digital readouts. Tester checks the operation of the ABS control unit, system components, and wiring harness.
ABS Tester Adapter. Adapter is used to check anti-lock power supply relay.
Digital Multimeter (US 1119). Used to check system voltage or resistance values.
