Removal & Installation (All Quattro Models)

  1. Remove bolt securing speed sensor. Remove wiring harness from clip on lower control arm. Remove speed sensor. Remove wiring harness from body and unplug from nearest connector.
  2. To install, reverse removal procedure. Install new "O" ring and PVC tip on sensor. Tip ensures proper air gap between sensor and rotor. Install sensor in housing until PCV tip touches rotor.
  3. Install and tighten retaining bolt to 86 INCH lbs. (10 N.m). Fasten wiring harness clips to body. Plug in speed sensor connector.
