Hydraulic Servo
- Drive belt tension must be correct. Make sure that there are no leaks in servo system. Engine must be off to check servo for leakage. Remove warning light wiring and warning switch. Remove return line at servo. If hydraulic oil leaks continuously, servo is defective and must be replaced. Relieve system pressure.
- Using hollow banjo bolt and 2 copper washers, connect Pressure Gauge (VW 1441) to switch opening. Place thicker washer between banjo fitting and servo and the thinner washer between the bolt head and banjo fitting.
- Start engine and let idle until reading on pressure gauge is more than 2030 psi (140 Bar). If specified pressure cannot be reached, check delivery of central hydraulic pump.
