Central Hydraulic Pump Delivery
- Relieve system pressure. Disconnect pressure line from central hydraulic pump. Connect banjo fitting of Pressure Limiter (VW 1354) to pump, using hollow banjo bolt that was holding pressure line to pump. Remove cap off hydraulic oil reservoir. Place other end of pressure limiter hose in reservoir.
- Start engine and run at idle until all air is bled out of pressure limiter. When no more bubbles are evident, turn engine off. Place limiter hose into measuring cup of 1 qt. (1000 ml) capacity. Start engine and let run at idle. Minimum delivery rate must be 10 oz./minute (296 ml/minute).
- If delivery rate is too low, replace central hydraulic pump. If delivery rate is sufficient but operating pressure reading is still too low, replace pressure accumulator. Turn engine off. After repairs are completed, start vehicle and check for leaks.
