Rear Brake Basic
- Make sure that there is no tension on parking brake cable prior to adjustment. Push caliper brake lever against stop on both rear calipers. If lever of opposite caliper pulls away from stop, cable is too tight. If so, loosen adjusting nut on cable adjusting rod until both levers are resting against stops.
- Place screwdriver into hook of pressure regulator spring so that screwdriver is between roller and rear spring hook. Using equal force each time, apply brake pedal about 40 times with vehicle stationary. Remove screwdriver from spring. Make sure both rear wheels turn without drag.
