Drum Brakes

  1. Raise vehicle and support so that rear wheels rotate freely. Release parking brake lever. Loosen adjusting nut on cable adjusting rod. Firmly depress brake pedal once. Pull parking brake lever up to either third notch on 5000S models or to second notch on 4000S and Coupe GT models.
  2. Tighten adjusting nut at cable adjusting rod until both wheels can barely be turned by hand. Release parking brake lever. Make sure that both wheels will rotate freely. Lightly coat equalizer with multipurpose grease.
