Removal And Installation

REMOVAL 

  1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the middle air cleaner inlet tube. Refer to BODY, AIR CLEANER, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  3. Remove the air cleaner inlet tube. Refer to BODY, AIR CLEANER, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  4. Remove the right throttle body air inlet hose. Refer to COOLER AND HOSES, CHARGE AIR, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  5. Remove the left throttle body air inlet hose. Refer to COOLER AND HOSES, CHARGE AIR, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .

  6. Remove the bolts (1a) and the oil vapor recovery tube connector (1b) from the right cylinders head.

  7. Disconnect the oil vapor heater wire harness connector (1c).
  8. Remove the bolts (1a, 1b) and the oil vapor recovery tube connector (1d) from the left cylinders head.

  9. Open the clip (1a) and disconnect the quick connector for the fuel vapor inlet tube to the right intake manifold (1b).
  10. Open the clip (2a) and disconnect the quick connector for the fuel vapor inlet tube to the left intake manifold (2b).

  11. Remove the bolts (1a) and position aside the sound generator (1b).

  12. Disconnect the right fuel pressure sensor wire harness connector (1).

  13. Disconnect the crankcase breather tube quick coupling (1).
  14. Remove the bolts (2a) and the Closed Crankcase Ventilation System (CCV) (2b) complete with O-ring.

INSTALLATION 

  1. Using NEW  O-ring, install the Closed Crankcase Ventilation System (CCV) and securely tighten the bolts.
  2. Connect the crankcase breather tube quick coupling.
  3. Connect the right fuel pressure sensor wire harness connector.
  4. Install the Closed Crankcase Ventilation System (CCV) and securely tighten the bolts.
  5. Connect the quick connector for the fuel vapor inlet tube to the left intake manifold and engage the retaining clip.
  6. Connect the quick connector for the fuel vapor inlet tube to the right intake manifold and engage the retaining clip.
  7. Install the oil vapor recovery tube connector to the left cylinder heads and securely tighten the bolts.
  8. Install the oil vapor recovery tube connector to the right cylinder heads and securely tighten the bolts.
  9. Connect the wire harness connector for the oil vapor heater.
  10. Install the left throttle body air inlet hose. Refer to COOLER AND HOSES, CHARGE AIR, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  11. Install the right throttle body air inlet hose. Refer to COOLER AND HOSES, CHARGE AIR, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  12. Install the air cleaner inlet tube. Refer to BODY, AIR CLEANER, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  13. Install the middle air cleaner inlet tube. Refer to BODY, AIR CLEANER, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  14. Connect the negative battery cable.
