Removal And Installation: Right

REMOVAL 

  1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the right air cleaner outlet tube. Refer to BODY, AIR CLEANER, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .

  3. Disconnect the wiring harness connector (1) from the right cylinder head ignition coil.
  4. Remove the ignition coil retaining screw (2a).
  5. Remove the ignition coil (2b).

INSTALLATION 

  1. Inspect the ignition coil component integrity prior to installing.

  2. Install the ignition coil (1a) in the cylinder head and tighten the retaining screw (1b) to the proper torque specification. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
  3. Connect the wiring harness connector (2) to the ignition coil.
  4. Install the right air cleaner outlet tube. Refer to BODY, AIR CLEANER, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  5. Connect the negative battery cable.
