Right - Downstream

NOTE:

If the oxygen sensor needs to be replaced, connect the diagnostic equipment to the vehicle, go to "Powertrain Control Module (PCM)" in the "Miscellaneous Functions" menu and start the "Adaptive Parameters Reset" procedure.

REMOVAL

Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.
Remove the air cleaner body and ducts. Refer to BODY, AIR CLEANER, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
Remove the belly pan. Refer to BELLY PAN, ENGINE, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION or BELLY PAN, REAR, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION or BELLY PAN, SIDE, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .

Disconnect the wire harness connection (1) for the oxygen sensor.

Remove the of the retaining bracket screw (1a) and move the engine wiring (1b) to one side.

Open the clips and release the oxygen sensor wiring (1).

Remove the right downstream oxygen sensor (1) from the catalytic converter.

INSTALLATION

Position the right downstream oxygen sensor (1) in its housing on the catalytic converter and tighten it to the proper torque specification. Refer to appropriate service information .
Engage the oxygen sensor wiring into the retaining clips.
Place the engine wiring back in position and securely tighten retaining bracket screw.
Connect the wire harness connection of the oxygen sensor.
Install the belly pan. Refer to BELLY PAN, ENGINE, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION or BELLY PAN, REAR, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION or BELLY PAN, SIDE, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
Install the air cleaner body and ducts. Refer to BODY, AIR CLEANER, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
Connect the negative battery cable.
