Left Intake Manifold Fuel Rail

REMOVAL

NOTE:

If the fuel rail or the injectors are replaced, connect the diagnosis equipment to the vehicle diagnosis socket, go to "Powertrain Control Module (PCM)" in the "Miscellaneous Functions" menu and start the following procedures: fuel feed system component replacement; adaptive parameter reset.

Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.
Remove the fuel crossover line. Refer to LINES, FUEL, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
Remove the low pressure line from pressure pump to the fuel rail, left cylinder head. Refer to LINES, FUEL, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .

Disconnect the fuel pressure sensor wire harness connector (1).
Disconnect the fuel injector wire harness connectors (2).

Remove the screws (1a) and the left fuel rail (1b) with the injectors.

INSTALLATION

Install the left fuel rail (1a) with injectors, and tighten the screws (1b) to the proper torque specification. Refer to appropriate service information .
Connect the fuel injector wire harness connectors.
Connect the fuel pressure sensor wire harness connector.
Install the low pressure line from pressure pump to the fuel rail, left cylinder head. Refer to LINES, FUEL, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
Install the fuel crossover line. Refer to LINES, FUEL, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
Connect the negative battery cable.
