High Pressure - Right

REMOVAL 

1. Perform the fuel system pressure release. Refer to FUEL SYSTEM/FUEL DELIVERY/STANDARD PROCEDURE .
2. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.
3. Remove the right side intake manifold. Refer to MANIFOLD, INTAKE, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .

4. Remove the screw (1a) and the fittings (1b) then, remove the high pressure pipe from pressure pump to right fuel manifold pipe (1c).
   NOTE:

   Once removed, a new high pressure pipe must be used.

INSTALLATION

1. Place a NEW  high pressure pipe from the pressure pump to the right cylinder head fuel manifold pipe (1a) back in its housing and tighten the connectors (1b) to the proper torque specification. Refer to appropriate service information .
2. Securely tighten the screw (2) securing the high pressure pipe support bracket to the tappet cover.
3. Install the right side intake manifold. Refer to MANIFOLD, INTAKE, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
4. Connect the negative battery cable.
