Oil Pump Drive Chain TENSIONER

REMOVAL 

1. Remove the timing chain cover. Refer to COVER(S), ENGINE TIMING, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .

2. Using a suitable screwdriver (1a) raise the spring (1b) of the tensioner and insert a suitable locking pin (1d) in the hole (1c).

3. Remove the bolt (1a) and the tensioner (1b) complete with lock pin (1c).
4. Remove the lock pin (1c) from the tensioner.

INSTALLATION 

1. Remove all sealant residues.

2. Press the spring (1a) and insert a suitable lock pin (1b) in the specific hole.

3. Install the tensioner (1a) complete with lock pin (1b) and tighten the bolts (1c) to the proper torque specification. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
4. Remove the lock pin (1b) from the tensioner.
5. Install the timing chain cover. Refer to COVER(S), ENGINE TIMING, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
