Right Turbocharger Exhaust Gas Outlet Pipe Heat Shield

REMOVAL 

1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to HOISTING, STANDARD PROCEDURE .
2. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.
3. Remove the powertrain assembly and suspension crossmember from the vehicle. Refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
4. Remove the engine and transmission from the suspension crossmember. Refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
5. Remove the right turbocharger exhaust gas outlet pipe. Refer to TURBOCHARGER, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
6. Remove the right rear turbocharger coolant outlet tube. Refer to LINES, TUBES AND HOSES, TURBOCHARGER, OIL AND COOLANT, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .

7. Remove the bolts (1a) and the right turbocharger exhaust gas outlet pipe heat shield (1b).

INSTALLATION

1. Install the right turbocharger exhaust gas outlet pipe heat shield and securely tighten the bolts.
2. Install the right rear turbocharger coolant outlet tube. Refer to LINES, TUBES AND HOSES, TURBOCHARGER, OIL AND COOLANT, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
3. Install the right turbocharger exhaust gas outlet pipe. Refer to TURBOCHARGER, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
4. Install the engine and transmission to the suspension crossmember. Refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
5. Install the powertrain assembly and suspension crossmember to the vehicle. Refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
6. Connect the negative battery cable.
7. Remove the support and lower the vehicle.
