Left Turbocharger Exhaust Gas Outlet Pipe

REMOVAL 

1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to HOISTING, STANDARD PROCEDURE .
2. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.
3. Remove the powertrain assembly and suspension crossmember from the vehicle. Refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
4. Remove the engine and transmission from the suspension crossmember. Refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
5. Remove the left side turbocharger heat shield. Refer to TURBOCHARGER, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .

6. Release the front and rear oxygen sensor wires from the intermediate clamps (1).
7. Loosen the left catalytic converter collar bolt (2).

8. Remove the mounting bracket bolts (1a) and the left catalytic converter (1b).

9. Remove the nuts (1a) and the left turbocharger exhaust gas outlet pipe (1b).
10. Remove the seal from the studs of the turbocharger.

11. Remove the front oxygen sensor (1).

INSTALLATION

1. Install the front oxygen sensor and tighten it to the proper torque specification. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .

2. Install the seal on the studs of the turbocharger.
3. Install the left turbocharger exhaust gas outlet pipe (1a) complete with gasket, and tighten the new nuts (1b) to the proper torque specification. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .

4. Install the left catalytic converter (1a) and tighten the mounting bracket bolts (1b) to the proper torque specification. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .

5. Tighten left catalytic converter collar bolt (1) to the proper torque specification. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
6. Secure the front and rear oxygen sensor wires in the intermediate clamps (2).
7. Install the left side turbocharger heat shield. Refer to TURBOCHARGER, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
8. Install the engine and transmission to the suspension crossmember. Refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
9. Install the powertrain assembly and suspension crossmember to the vehicle. Refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
10. Connect the negative battery cable.
11. Remove the support and lower the vehicle.
