Left Turbocharger Exhaust Gas Outlet Pipe

REMOVAL
- Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to HOISTING, STANDARD PROCEDURE .
- Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.
- Remove the powertrain assembly and suspension crossmember from the vehicle. Refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
- Remove the engine and transmission from the suspension crossmember. Refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
- Remove the left side turbocharger heat shield. Refer to
TURBOCHARGER, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
- Release the front and rear oxygen sensor wires from the intermediate clamps (1).
- Loosen the left catalytic converter collar bolt (2).
- Remove the mounting bracket bolts (1a) and the left catalytic converter (1b).
- Remove the nuts (1a) and the left turbocharger exhaust gas outlet pipe (1b).
- Remove the seal from the studs of the turbocharger.
- Remove the front oxygen sensor (1).
INSTALLATION
- Install the front oxygen sensor and tighten it to the proper torque specification. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
- Install the seal on the studs of the turbocharger.
- Install the left turbocharger exhaust gas outlet pipe (1a) complete with gasket, and tighten the new nuts (1b) to the proper torque specification. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
- Install the left catalytic converter (1a) and tighten the mounting bracket bolts (1b) to the proper torque specification. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
- Tighten left catalytic converter collar bolt (1) to the proper torque specification. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
- Secure the front and rear oxygen sensor wires in the intermediate clamps (2).
- Install the left side turbocharger heat shield. Refer to TURBOCHARGER, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
- Install the engine and transmission to the suspension crossmember. Refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
- Install the powertrain assembly and suspension crossmember to the vehicle. Refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
- Connect the negative battery cable.
- Remove the support and lower the vehicle.
