Left Turbocharger Exhaust Gas Outlet Pipe Heat Shield

REMOVAL 

1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to HOISTING, STANDARD PROCEDURE .
2. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.
3. Remove the powertrain assembly and suspension crossmember from the vehicle. Refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
4. Remove the engine and transmission from the suspension crossmember. Refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .

5. Release the front and rear oxygen sensor wires from the intermediate clamps (1).
6. Loosen the left catalytic converter collar (2).

7. Remove the mounting bracket bolts (1a) and the left catalytic converter (1b).

8. Remove the bolts (1a) and the left turbocharger exhaust gas outlet pipe heat shield (1b).

INSTALLATION

1. Install the left turbocharger exhaust gas outlet pipe heat shield (1a) and securely tighten the bolts (1b).

2. Install the left catalytic converter (1a) and tighten the mounting bracket bolts (1b) to the proper torque specification. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .

3. Tighten left catalytic converter collar bolt (1) to the proper torque specification. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
4. Secure the front and rear oxygen sensor wires in the intermediate clamps (2).
5. Install the engine and transmission to the suspension crossmember. Refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
6. Install the powertrain assembly and suspension crossmember to the vehicle. Refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
7. Connect the negative battery cable.
8. Remove the support and lower the vehicle.
