Vacuum Air System Multi-Way Rigid Pipe

REMOVAL 

1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to HOISTING, STANDARD PROCEDURE .
2. Remove the vacuum pump. Refer to SOLENOID, WASTEGATE, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
3. Remove the front half of the left front wheelhouse splash shield. Refer to SHIELD, SPLASH, FRONT WHEELHOUSE, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .

4. Disconnect the quick coupling (1) and release the vacuum air pipe from the top retaining clip.
5. Remove the vacuum air system multi-way rigid pipe bolts (2).
6. Release the left front oxygen sensor wiring from the intermediate retainer (3).

7. Remove the vacuum air system multi-way rigid pipe bolts (1).

8. Disconnect the vacuum air system multi-way rigid pipe hoses (1a) from the left turbocharger wastegate solenoid valve (1b).

9. Open the band clamp (1) and disconnect the vacuum air system multi-way rigid pipe hose from the wastegate valve.

10. Remove the vacuum air system multi-way rigid pipe bolts (1).

11. Open the band clamp, disconnect the hose (1a) and remove the vacuum air system multi-way rigid pipe (1b).

12. Open the band clamp (1) and remove the vacuum tank hose.

13. Open band clamp (1) and remove the hose from the vacuum air system multi-way rigid pipe, complete with protective sheath.

INSTALLATION

1. Install the wastegate valve actuator hose to the vacuum air system multi-way rigid pipe, complete with protective sheath and close the band clamp (1).

2. Install the vacuum reservoir hose to the vacuum air system multi-way rigid pipe and close the band clamp (1).

3. Install the complete vacuum air system multi-way rigid pipe (1a), connect the hose (1b) and close the band clamp.

4. Securely tighten the vacuum air system multi-way rigid pipe bolts (1).

5. Install the wastegate valve actuator hose and close the band clamp (1).

6. Install the vacuum air system multi-way rigid pipe hoses (1a) to the left turbocharger wastegate solenoid valve (1b).

7. Securely tighten the vacuum air system multi-way rigid pipe bolts (1).

8. Securely tighten the vacuum air system multi-way rigid pipe bolt (1).
9. Connect the quick coupling of the air vacuum pipe (2) and engage it in the upper retaining clip.
10. Engage the left front oxygen sensor wiring in the intermediate retainer (3).
11. Install the front half of the left front wheelhouse splash shield. Refer to SHIELD, SPLASH, FRONT WHEELHOUSE, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
12. Install the vacuum pump. Refer to SOLENOID, WASTEGATE, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
13. Remove the support and lower the vehicle.
