Left Air Tube Between Turbocharger And Charge Air Water Cooler

REMOVAL 

1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the belly pan. Refer to BELLY PAN, ENGINE, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION or BELLY PAN, REAR, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION or BELLY PAN, SIDE, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
3. Remove the right and left front tire and wheel assembly. Refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
4. Remove the front fascia. Refer to FASCIA, FRONT, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .

5. Open the band (1a) and disconnect the air outlet pipe from the turbocharger (1b), on the heat exchanger side.

6. Open the band (1a) and disconnect the turbocharger air bypass sleeve from the solenoid valve to the left pipe (1b).

7. Remove the screws (1a) and the pipe (1b), complete with seal.

8. Disconnect the left turbocharger air bypass solenoid valve wire harness connector (1).

9. Remove the bolt (1a) securing the coolant pipe support bracket and position aside the pipes (1b).

10. Remove the air outlet pipe (1) from the left turbocharger, complete with seal.

11. If necessary, undo the screws (1a) and remove the left turbocharger air bypass solenoid valve (1b), complete with O-ring.

12. If necessary, loosen the band (1a) and disconnect the air supply sleeve between the turbocharger and left heat exchanger.

INSTALLATION

1. If removed, connect the air supply sleeve between the turbocharger and left heat exchanger and tighten the band.

2. Position the left outlet pipe (1) from the turbocharger.

3. Install the engine coolant pipes (1a) and securely tighten the bolt (1b).

4. Connect the left turbocharger air bypass solenoid wire harness connector (1).

5. Using a NEW  gasket, securely tighten the screws (1a) for the left outlet pipe (1b).

6. Connect the supercharger air bypass sleeve from the solenoid valve to the left pipe (1a) in position and tighten the band (1b).

7. Install the turbocharger air outlet pipe (1a) in position on the heat exchanger side and tighten the band (1b).
8. Install the front fascia. Refer to FASCIA, FRONT, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
9. Install the right and left front tire and wheel assembly. Refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
10. Install the belly pan. Refer to BELLY PAN, ENGINE, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION or BELLY PAN, REAR, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION or BELLY PAN, SIDE, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
11. Connect the negative battery cable.
