Charge Air Water Cooler Bracket

REMOVAL 

1. Remove the generator. Refer to GENERATOR, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
2. Remove the A/C compressor. Refer to COMPRESSOR, A/C, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .

3. Disconnect the alternator wire harness from the intermediate retainers (1).
4. Remove the two bolts (2) securing the generator wire harness to the charge air water cooler bracket.

5. Disconnect the generator wire harness retaining clip (1).

6. Remove the lower four bolts (1) securing the charge air water cooler bracket.

7. Remove the upper two bolts (1a) and remove the charge air water cooler bracket (1b).

8. On the bench, release the single drive belt stretcher tool, undo the bolt (1a) and the single drive belt mobile stretcher (1b).

9. Remove the three bolts (1a) and remove the single drive belt stretcher tool (1b).

10. Remove the bolt (1a) and the fixed stretcher (1b) and bushing (1c).

11. If necessary, remove the two bolts (1a) and generator wire support bracket (1b).

INSTALLATION 

1. Position the charge air water cooler bracket on a secure workbench.

2. If necessary, install the generator wire harness support bracket (1b) and securely tighten two bolts (1a).

3. Install the fixed stretcher (1b) bushing (1c) and tighten bolt (1a) to the proper torque specification. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .

4. Install the single drive belt stretcher tool 2055100090 (1b) and three bolts (1a) without tightening.

5. Install the single drive belt mobile stretcher and insert pin "a" into hole "b".

6. Tighten the fixing bolt (1a) of the drive belt fixed stretcher (1b) tool to the proper torque specification. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .

7. Position the charge air water cooler bracket (1b) in its housing and tighten the two upper bolts (1a) to the proper torque specification. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .

8. Tighten the four lower bolts (1) securing the charge air water cooler bracket to the proper torque specification. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .

9. Tighten the fixing bolts (1a) of the single drive belt stretcher tool (1b).

10. Install the generator wire harness into the intermediate retainers.

11. Install the generator wire harness and securely tighten the two support bracket bolts (1) to the charge air water cooler bracket.
12. Install the generator wire harness into the intermediate retainers.
13. Install the A/C compressor. Refer to COMPRESSOR, A/C, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
14. Install the generator. Refer to GENERATOR, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
