Left Side

REMOVAL 

1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the air cleaner assembly. Refer to BODY, AIR CLEANER, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
3. Remove the front intake air tube. Refer to BODY, AIR CLEANER, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .

4. Disconnect the throttle body actuator wire harness connector (1).

5. Remove the bolt (1a) and the air temperature/pressure sensor (1b) and position aside.

6. Disconnect the fuel vapor line quick connect (1).

7. Remove the bolts (1) and move the oil vapor diverter valve aside.

8. Remove the bolt (1) and release the fuel pipe from the intake manifold.

9. Remove the bolts (1a) and the left intake manifold (1b).
10. Remove the gasket.
11. If necessary, remove the throttle body. Refer to THROTTLE BODY, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .

INSTALLATION 

1. If removed, install the throttle body. Refer to THROTTLE BODY, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .

2. Using a NEW  gasket, install the left intake manifold (1a) onto the locating pins and hand tighten the bolts (1b).

3. Using a the sequence shown in illustration, tighten the left intake manifold bolts to the proper torque specification. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .

4. Install and securely tighten the left side high pressure fuel line bracket to the intake manifold.

5. Install the oil vapor diverter valve and securely tighten the bolts (1).

6. Connect the fuel vapor line quick connector (1).

7. Install the air temperature/pressure sensor (1b) and securely tighten the bolt (1a).

8. Connect the throttle body actuator wire harness connector (1).
9. Install the front intake air tube. Refer to BODY, AIR CLEANER, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
10. Install the air cleaner assembly. Refer to BODY, AIR CLEANER, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
11. Connect the negative battery cable.
