Left Side

REMOVAL
- Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.
- Remove the air cleaner assembly. Refer to BODY, AIR CLEANER, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
- Remove the front intake air tube. Refer to
BODY, AIR CLEANER, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
- Disconnect the throttle body actuator wire harness connector (1).
- Remove the bolt (1a) and the air temperature/pressure sensor (1b) and position aside.
- Disconnect the fuel vapor line quick connect (1).
- Remove the bolts (1) and move the oil vapor diverter valve aside.
- Remove the bolt (1) and release the fuel pipe from the intake manifold.
- Remove the bolts (1a) and the left intake manifold (1b).
- Remove the gasket.
- If necessary, remove the throttle body. Refer to THROTTLE BODY, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
INSTALLATION
- If removed, install the throttle body. Refer to
THROTTLE BODY, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION
.
- Using a NEW gasket, install the left intake manifold (1a) onto the locating pins and hand tighten the bolts (1b).
- Using a the sequence shown in illustration, tighten the left intake manifold bolts to the proper torque specification. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
- Install and securely tighten the left side high pressure fuel line bracket to the intake manifold.
- Install the oil vapor diverter valve and securely tighten the bolts (1).
- Connect the fuel vapor line quick connector (1).
- Install the air temperature/pressure sensor (1b) and securely tighten the bolt (1a).
- Connect the throttle body actuator wire harness connector (1).
- Install the front intake air tube. Refer to BODY, AIR CLEANER, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
- Install the air cleaner assembly. Refer to BODY, AIR CLEANER, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
- Connect the negative battery cable.
