Removal And Installation

REMOVAL

If the engine oil level sensor needs to be replaced, connect the diagnosis equipment to the vehicle diagnosis socket, go to "Powertrain Control Module (PCM)" in the "Miscellaneous functions" menu and start the "Oil level sensor" procedure.
Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.
Remove the front suspension crossmember. Refer to CROSSMEMBER, FRONT SUSPENSION, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
Drain the engine oil. Refer to OIL, STANDARD PROCEDURE .

Disconnect the engine oil level switch wire harness connector (1).
Remove the bolts (2a) and the engine oil level switch (2b).

INSTALLATION

Install the engine oil level switch (1a) and tighten the bolts (1b) to the proper. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
Connect the engine oil level switch wire harness connector (2).
Install the front suspension crossmember. Refer to CROSSMEMBER, FRONT SUSPENSION, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
Connect the negative battery cable.
Fill the engine with the recommended engine oil. Refer to OIL, STANDARD PROCEDURE .
