Deactivation Solenoid Valve Cylinder 1 Intake Side

REMOVAL 

1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the right air cleaner outlet tube. Refer to BODY, AIR CLEANER, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
3. Remove the middle air cleaner tube. Refer to BODY, AIR CLEANER, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .

4. Disconnect the wastegate valve wire harness connector (1).
5. Remove the bolts (2a) and position aside the wastegate solenoid valve (2b).
6. Disconnect the ignition coil cylinder 1 wire harness connector (3).

7. Disconnect the cylinder 1 deactivation solenoid valve wire harness connector (1), intake side.

8. Remove the bolts (1a) and the cylinder 1 deactivation solenoid valve fixing flange, intake side (1b).

9. Using a suitable tool (1a), remove the cylinder 1 deactivation solenoid valve, intake side (1b), complete with O-rings (1c).

INSTALLATION 

1. Install the cylinder 1 deactivation solenoid valve, intake side, back in its housing, complete with O-rings.
2. Install the cylinder 1 deactivation solenoid valve flange, intake side, back in its housing and securely tighten the bolts.
3. Connect the cylinder 1 deactivation solenoid valve wire harness connector, intake side.
4. Connect the ignition coil cylinder 1 wire harness connector.
5. Install the wastegate solenoid valve in its housing and securely tighten the bolts.
6. Connect the wastegate solenoid valve wire harness connector.
7. Install the middle air cleaner tube. Refer to BODY, AIR CLEANER, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
8. Install the right air cleaner outlet tube. Refer to BODY, AIR CLEANER, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
9. Connect the negative battery cable.
