Right Cylinder Head Lifter Deactivation Oil Pump

REMOVAL 

  1. Remove the charge air water cooler support bracket. Refer to COOLER AND HOSES, CHARGE AIR, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .

  2. Open the clip (1) and release the fuel vapor supply pipe from the intake manifold.

  3. Open the clip (1a) and disconnect the quick connector for the fuel vapor inlet tube to the right intake manifold (1b).

  4. Remove the bolt (1a) and position aside the turbocharger lubrication deactivation solenoid valve wiring support bracket (1b).

  5. Remove the bolt (1a) and the right cylinder head lifter deactivation oil pump (1b), complete with shaft (1c), gasket (1d) and centering dowels (1e).

INSTALLATION

  1. Install the right cylinder head lifter deactivation oil pump (1a), complete with shaft, NEW  gasket and centering dowels in its housing and tighten the bolts (1b) to the proper torque specification. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
  2. Install the turbocharger lubrication deactivation solenoid valve wiring support bracket in its housing and securely tighten the bolt.
  3. Connect the quick connector of the fuel vapor supply tube to the intake manifold and engage retaining clips.
  4. Install the charge air water cooler support bracket. Refer to COOLER AND HOSES, CHARGE AIR, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
