Removal And Installation

REMOVAL 

  1. Position the vehicle on the lift. Refer to HOISTING, STANDARD PROCEDURE .

  2. Position a suitable hydraulic lift (1) underneath the transmission.

  3. Remove the bolts (1) securing the transmission crossmember to body.
  4. Remove the bolt (2a) and transmission crossmember (2b).

INSTALLATION

  1. Install the rear transmission crossmember (1a) complete with mount and tighten the NEW  bolt (1b) to the proper torque specification. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
  2. Tighten the NEW  transmission crossmember to body bolts (2) to the proper torque specification. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .

  3. Remove the hydraulic lift (1) from underneath the transmission.
  4. Remove the vehicle from the lift.
