Low Temperature (LT) Cooling System Coolant Pump

REMOVAL 

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to HOISTING, STANDARD PROCEDURE .
  2. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.
  3. Drain the low temperature (LT) cooling system. Refer to COOLING/STANDARD PROCEDURE .

  4. Remove the bolt (1) from the retaining collar of the coolant pump mounting bracket.

  5. Disconnect the electric connection of the LT cooling system coolant pump (1).

  6. Loosen the band clamp and remove the inlet hose (1) from the coolant pump.
  7. Loosen the band clamp and remove the heat exchanger supply hose (2) from the coolant pump.
  8. Remove the LT cooling system coolant pump (3).

INSTALLATION 

  1. Install the heat exchanger supply hose to the LT cooling system coolant pump and tighten the band clamp.
  2. Install the inlet hose to the coolant pump and tighten the band clamp.
  3. Connect the electric connection of the LT system coolant pump.
  4. Position the LT cooling system coolant pump in the mounting bracket and securely tighten the retaining collar bolt.
  5. Connect the negative battery cable.
  6. Fill the low temperature (LT) cooling system. Refer to COOLING/STANDARD PROCEDURE .
  7. Remove the support and lower the vehicle.
