Removal And Installation

REMOVAL 

1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the Charge Air Cooler (CAC) and support bracket. Refer to COOLER AND HOSES, CHARGE AIR, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .

3. On the bench, release the (special tool #2055100090, Service belt tensioner bracket) (1).

4. Remove the bolt (1a) and the belt tensioner (1b).

INSTALLATION

1. Install the belt tensioner (1) and insert pin "a" in hole "b".

2. Install the bolt (1a) to the belt tensioner (1b) and tighten to the proper torque specification. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
3. On the bench, load the (special tool #2055100090, Service belt tensioner bracket).
4. Install the Charge Air Cooler (CAC) and support bracket. Refer to COOLER AND HOSES, CHARGE AIR, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
5. Connect the negative battery cable.
